Today was a very sleepy and relaxed day; quite the opposite from our usual non-stop working days. We had a little rain storm early this morning, giving the ground a much needed drink. But unfortunately it made the day humid and sticky. So mom and I decided to do some housework while dad finished putting the fence around our garden.
I decided to take advantage of the calm quiet setting and go on a nature walk, with our camera of course! The first three pictures are of two of my mom's flower beds.
Then I headed to the woods!
And,yes this little bird was very nice to pose for me!

are a family of five-Rick(Dad),Robin(Mom),Sarah,Me,and Joshua. We lived in Mississippi for awhile before moving to South Dakota in 2001. Upon moving to South Dakota we lived in various little towns before God blessed us with 20 acres of land. At first it was a rough go; the land and the buildings on the property were run down and falling apart. But with God's help we were able to turn the land into what we call now our home. Now, of course there is no end to the work as you will see in the upcoming posts. Just a couple days ago we were beginning to plant our orchard! Dad bought six different kinds of apple trees, and six different kinds of plum trees. We can't wait until they start producing! Here's a couple pictures from that day.
